MMA once again takes the centre of attention this Saturday night as UFC on FOX invades the United Center in beautiful Chicago, Illnois. Fight tipster Will Burns mixes things up a bit in this article. He selects three must bets at great value and introduces the debut of the MONSTER TREBLE paying over 6/1. If you’re betting, remember… anything can happen in the cage.
Saturday 23rd July 2016
UFC on FOX 20
United Center, Chicago, IL.
HOLLY HOLM (10-1) vs. VALENTINA SHEVCHENKO (12-2)
(Women’s Bantamweight Division)
Simple as this. Both these ladies love to strike and are very good at striking. However, they are also very good at tacking strikes and I see this fight going all five rounds. Former champions Holly Holm is favourite and for good reason as her strikes are superior to Valentina Shevchecko.
So on that note, I recommend you get on Holm to win via decision at 11/10 with Bet365.
TIP: Holm to win via decision (2.10 at Bet365)
FRANCIS NGANNOU (7-1) vs. BOJAN MIHAJLOVIC (10-3)
(Heavyweight Division)
Cameroon-born heavyweight Francis Ngannou is an absolute beast and should easily defeat Bojan Mihajlovic in this fight. The power in his fists is unstoppable and it certainly likes his Serbian opponent Bojan Mihajlovic has been thrown to the wolves by the UFC here.
Matchmakers can be accused of trying to build a star and I feel that if anyone suggests that here, they are well within their rights. This pick is a short priced one but you’ll see why at the end of this article – Ngannou to win via KO, TKO, Disqualification or Submission at 33/100 with Bet365.
TIP: Ngannou to win via KO, TKO, Disqualification or Submission (1.33 at Bet365)
EDSON BARBOZA (17-4) vs. GILBERT MELENDEZ (22-5)
(Lightweight Division)
Former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez is returning to the cage after a year-long drug test suspension and at age 34, I cannot see him outlasting Edson Barboza.
Barboza is a dangerous striker with a dynamic offense, but Melendez has never been knocked out in nearly 30 professional fights. I don’t expect him to start here and someone with his experience is not going to turn this into a kickboxing match. Barboza heads into this fight with an excellent decision win over Anthony Pettis back in April. I see more of this same tonight!
I see Barboza winning via decision which you can get at a healthy 13/10 with Bet365.
TIP: Barboza to win via decision (2.30 at Bet365)
MONSTER TREBLE
Simply place all three tips into a treble to nail a treble over 6/1! GOOD LUCK!
