Will Burns selects two top tips for Day Two double in the Wimbledon tournament.
Tennis can be one of the most difficult sports to make a profit from, particularly because usually just a handful of players ever reach the final of a tournament. For example, over the last 13 years of the prestigious Wimbledon tournament, only four gentlemen have ended up holding a loft the trophy. Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and finally Andy Murray have won and considering that 128 men enter the singles tournament each year then I guess that explains it all.
So rather than picking winners of tournament (even though I contradict myself with the female tournament later this week) I will look to select an double, treble or an accumulator for some of days I see some value. Feel free to place as singles if you wish to be less risky. Here we go.

WIMBLEDON – MENS SINGLES
Frenchman Benoit Paire (ranked 23) is known for losing his head in games and I feel that Franko Skugor (ranked 194) can cause an upset at 2/1 with Bet365.
The moody Paire has phoned in a lot of promises on grass in recent times. Losing seven of his last eight with his last win on the green at Wimbledon back in the summer of 2013. His recent loss was at Queens against Aljaz Bedene (ranked 53) and he withdrew from doubles competition complaining about a foot injury, but stated later that he was hoping he’d recover for Wimbledon.
Now Skugor qualified for Wimbledon by beating poor opponents Pedja Krstin (185), Daniel Munoz-De La Nava (135) and Gerald Melzer (106), but I am focusing on the attitude of Paire more than anything in this contest and the Croatian has a chance at 2/1.
Another bet I see landing is in the close contest between John Isner (17) and Marcos Baghdatis (40). Both are good players in decent form on the grass with Isner seeing off Juan Martin Del Potro at Queens last week before falling to 3-6, 7-6, 7-6 to Gilles Muller in his next game. Baghdatis has a superior recent form with wins over Sam Querrey, Tomas Berydych and Dustin Brown with the majority of the sets in those three matches finishing 7-6. Over 43.5 Games at Bet365 is valued at 1.83 and this looks like a steal at that price in a game that could go five sets long.
TIP: Franko Skugor to win (3.00 at Bet365)
Couldn’t agree more with the Paire pick his inconsistency could give Skugor a huge chance to cause an upset here.
