Will Burns is sick of waiting for Robert Lewandowski’s first goal of the tournament and thinks it’s time for Poland to impress.

EURO 2016 – GROUP C
UKRAINE v POLAND
This is Poland’s third game of the tournament and we are yet to see a Robert Lewandowski goal. Now his partner Arek Milik could have already clinched the Golden Boot after having the most goal opportunities of Euro 2016 so far with 11. Milik has been moving into the positions, finding space and taking advantage of the attention that his strike partner has been receiving. I now feel it’s time Robbie stepped up and find the back of the net.
Already eliminated from the tournament, Ukraine have proven their fans correct in regards to the pre-tournament doubt they received. Head coach Mykhaylo Fomenko has tore into his players, accusing them of lacking unity and desire.
The majority of Ukraine’s ‘big-names’ have failed to impress. Sevilla winger Yevhen Konoplyanka had a good spell against Germany but other than that has been poor, while his fellow winger Andriy Yarmolenko has provided two characterless displays. In addition, 20-year-old Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Viktor Kovalenko was tipped to make a major impact, however he has showed nothing to support the hype.
The Poles have not beaten their neighbouring rivals since the year 2000, losing three of their last five meetings. However, Fomenko is ready to cull the majority of his side and bring in youngsters, so Adam Nawalka’s team should be confident breaking the 16-year run on Tuesday night.
I see the Poles winning, Lewandowski scoring and Nawalka celebrating so a Poland win at 2.05 is incredible value.
If you’re betting… good luck!
TIP: Robert Lewandowski to score anytime (2.50 at Stan James)
