After a night with a few shocks on Day One, here’s Craig Wilburn returning with some Day Two picks.
Friday 3rd June
PDC WORLD CUP OF DARTS – DAY ONE
Matches begin at 7.00pm BST shown live on Sky Sports 1.
It’s Day Two at the World Cup of Darts with the remaining eight first round matches to be played. If last nights carnage taught us anything it’s that the doubles format in a race to 5 can be a real leveller.
England (Phil Taylor/Adrian Lewis) are in action tonight against Spain (Antonio Alcinas/Cristo Reyes). Alcinas has been an ever present for Spain in this event whilst Reyes returns for his second year running. The Spanish pairing do not possess the experience of quality of their opponents however, given the format they are more than capable of winning a couple of legs. Coral have over 6.5 legs priced up at 8/11 which seems a reasonable price. Both New Zealand and Russia were able to win 3 legs in their respective matches against Scotland and Netherlands.
The second selection of the evening is Hong Kong (Royden Lam/Scott MacKenzie) to defeat Ireland (William O’Connor/Mick McGowan). I anticipate a close encounter between the two teams with the 13/10 available for the Hong Kong duo looking slightly overpriced.
TIP: England vs. Spain – Over 6.5 legs (8/11 at Coral)
TIP: Hong Kong to beat Ireland (13/10 at Coral)
